In addition to using the trained cats, the CDA will set up special mesh traps around Parliament House. The rat problem has worsened because the rats have gotten into the ceilings, which has led to more rats. This has caused damage in different departments of both the Senate and the National Assembly. Sometimes, the rats have even chewed through important documents, making things even more difficult.

To combat the rat problem, the CDA plans to combine various methods. In addition to using cats and traps, they will seek help from private companies specializing in pest control. These experts will contribute their skills and tools to develop a complete solution. By working together, the CDA and private businesses aim to effectively eliminate the rat infestation.

The allocation of a significant budget of Rs1.2 million highlights the urgency and seriousness of the rat infestation in Parliament House. The CDA is determined to address this issue promptly and efficiently, aiming to restore the building to its proper condition and prevent any further damage or disruptions caused by these pests.

A spokesperson for the National Assembly confirmed that the city government is fully committed to getting rid of the rat problem. They said it is very important to deal with this quickly to keep the Parliament building working properly.

The decision to use cats to hunt the rats is a new and creative way to control pests. By using cats, we hope to reduce the rat population without harming the environment by using chemicals.

As the plan is implemented, the CDA and its collaborators will closely monitor the progress to determine how well the hunting cats and other approaches are working.
