Google is currently testing a new AI feature called “Speaking Practice” which will help you speak good English, most of the people in Pakistan struggle with speaking English. This new feature is not available for all the countries yet. Right now it is only for Colombia, Argentina, Indonesia, Mexico, India, and Venezuela users that have joined Search Labs, according to TechCrunch. It should gradually be introduced to more countries soon.

This new innovative program’s objective is to help people learn English by talking to a smart computer that can have conversations in interactive language exercises facilitated by artificial intelligence (AI). These activities are made to help learners in utilizing new vocabulary in real-life situations. This creativity allows users to explore and give their feedback on new early-stage Google Search experiences.
This is not a completely new feature actually based on a previously released Google feature that previously launched in October last year, that was also aimed to help English learners enhance their skills.
Initially, this feature authorized English learners to practice speaking sentences in different situations and offered feedback on their grammar and clarity. This new feature “Speaking Practice” now includes activities where you can have conversations back and forth.
Users are asked conversational questions and they have to answer using specific vocabulary and phrases provided by the AI.
For example, in an image uploaded by someone represented in screenshots on an X (Twitter) user, the AI might say it wants to improve fitness and ask, “What should I do?” Learners must answer designated words like “exercise,” “heart,” and “tired” in their responses.
This feature has two main aims. To help learners feel more comfortable talking in English and to make sure they use the right words in everyday situations.
