An Indian web newspaper taking about the story was parallel to Maryam Nawaz to a female heroic character, Chandramukhi Chautala, who portrays a police inspector in the Sony SAB drama ‘FIR’.

In a statement, Punjab Information Minister Azma Bokhari stated that Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz revealed harmony with policewomen by wearing a police uniform. She had deep values for women working in police departments.
